Luke 2:14 translations differences

Take the case of Luke 2:14

In the KJV it reads; “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

In the ESV it reads; “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased.”

In the NIV it reads; “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favour rests.”

And in the NLT; “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”

When read carefully, there are differences.

With reference to the King James, I believe Luke 2:14 means, peace and goodwill from God to all people.
